On Sunday November 10th at 12 noon we will present the remainder of the collection from Ambassador Petri’s family home in Sweden. This includes fine sculpture, artwork and Gustavian pieces, along with a Important 18th century Gustavian Commode from the Georg Haupt Workshop; This commode is typical of the cabinet maker Nils Petter Stenström, who was a pupil of Georg Haupt and went on to make masterpieces in Gustavian Furniture;. In addition, we are delighted to offer the rest of the G.V. Burdin collection of Important Chinese Porcelain, which comes to us from Elisabeth Dufeu, sister of Mrs. Ingrid Petri, from the south of France.
Please join us as we feature an exquisite Karl van Mander ‘Allegory Scene’ in addition to a Toulouse Lautrec double sided sketch, Salvador Dali original lithographs, a collection of Anders Zorn, A. Bricher watercolors, a Christian Berg sculpture, a Jan van Ravesteyn Old Masters, a rare Silver Carl Milles sculpture and many more wonderful pieces of art. Included in the sale is a 21 inch Famille Rose Mandarin punchbowl of the finest quality porcelain and many beautiful Famille Verte Kangxi period pieces as well as a vast variety of important Chinese porcelain and works of art. We will also have a nice variety of ivory, jade and Chinese paintings. We also have from the ambassador’s family a collection of Frenchen Stoneware Bartmann jugs and fine Delft ceramics.
